iDiD  ANOTHER INTERIOR DESIGN IDEA YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU DID

Today’s economy leaves so many of us frustrated when it comes to redesigning our homes. Here are a couple of ideas to relieve the frustration.

Color and inexpensive accessories are a way to give a room fresh new look.

An example of this is using color on your walls. Benjamin Moore as well as other paint companies has an online viewer for painting a room using their paint colors. This way so you are able to see what the room will look like before you purchase the paint. Benjamin Moore has a low and no voc (volatile organic compound which is sometimes harmful) paint and the cost is not a great deal more than the regular paint. Low voc enables you to change your room and be green. The 2nd way to change your room is to change inexpensive accessories such as throw pillows. Use them to bring in the new color scheme. You can also add a throw…can’t afford artwork? Pick up old frames from a 2nd hand stores …refinish them and hang them making an interesting arrangement and creating exciting negative space. Remember the rule of thumb to hanging artwork, mirrors, frame etc. is 63” from the floor to the center of the piece. This is considered eye level. Many of my clients have done this and said, “I’m happy iDiD.”
